Water Degradation

Degradation of water or, in this case, degradation of marine resources is one of the main factors that are affecting the environment.

The oceans and seas, by its immensity, are traditionally regarded as a source of inexhaustible wealth, and also play an important role in our social and cultural life. There are several types of marine resources available: abiotic marine beds (dead bodies) as minerals, gas hydrates and biotic resources (living organisms) such as fish, seaweed and shellfish. The exploitation of these resources is limited by the level of technological development and the strength of the natural elements.

Today, technological advances and increased coastal populations are additional pressures on natural resources available, and in particular in the areas of fisheries, transport, navigation as well as in areas of oil and gas.

The degradation of water in seas and oceans worldwide, and the impact on the environment on fish stocks and, without forgetting that abiotic resources are also victims of exploitation of man.

Ecosystems, fish and pollution do not conform to the boundaries. Therefore, the quality of fish stocks depends only on how different countries regulate fishing in its waters but also the activities that go beyond its borders. Each country's fight for the preservation of species is useless if not accompanied by measures of global cooperation. Therefore, the problem of water degradation must be addressed internationally.
